James Mitchell is Co-Founder and President of Tampa-based eNotaryLog, LLC. In 2019, James founded the company with long-time friend Joe Bisaillon. James focuses on the legal oversight for the company, and closely follows remote online notarization and identity verification laws as they evolve.
James and Joe were part of the Tampa Bay Innovation Center’s Accelerator Program and a member of the Embarc Collective. The company received the 2020 Tampa Bay Inno’s Software Blazer award for Tampa area startup innovation.
Prior to starting the company, James was based in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.
Joe Bisaillon is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Tampa-based eNotaryLog, LLC. Joe and long-time friend, and eNotaryLog president, James Mitchell, founded the company in 2019 after experiencing first-hand the need for online notary services. It was about this time that Florida passed a bill which legalized online notarization on Jan. 1, 2020, and the company was born.
Starting his career in software development and spanning across government, commercial and nonprofit organizations, Joe has insight into enterprise software development and leadership. As the eNotaryLog organization has taken off and added experienced staff, Joe has transitioned from day-to-day software development to leading the company’s strategic direction and long-term growth plan.
Joe holds a BS in management information systems and management from the University of South Florida.
